Text itself plays
Plato "plays at taking things seriously".
"play facilitates feminist philosophy"
"The spirit of playful competition is, as a social impulse, older than culture itself and pervades all life like a veritable ferment. Ritual grew up in sacred play; poetry was born in play and nourished on play; music and dancing were pure play ... We have to conclude, therefore, that civilization is, in its earliest phases, played. It does not come from play ... it arises in and as play, and never leaves it" (Huizinga ).
The unreality of games gives notice that reality is not yet real. Unconsciously they rehearse the right life. T.Adorno
There is an absolute in the moment of the game, and this absolute, like every reality or moment taken to the absolute, represents a specificc form of alienation. Henri Lefebvre
Only in a serious game like the folded in videogame, you can find Plato, Adorno and other great thinkers making comments.
McKENZIE WARK claims for the world outside the game-cave*. Every situation is win-lose, unless it is win -win- a situation where players are free to collaborate only because they seek prizes in different games.
*cave stands in the platonic meaning of the term
